Are you recovering from an injury or surgery? This often requires rehabilitation services such as physical therapy to promote healing and restore function.
Elite Therapy provides evidence-based treatment for acute and chronic pain, stroke and neurologic disorders, cancer, orthopedic and sport injuries, arthritis, hand/upper extremity injuries, amputations, peripheral nerve injuries and work-related injuries.
Physical Therapy is the practice of using various methods for increasing the functionality of the musculoskeletal system. Physical therapists (PT’s) and physical therapy assistants (PTA’s) use a variety of tools and practices such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, paraffin, heat and cold, iontophoresis, ect., which we call modalities. Modalities help decrease pain, promote healing, and increase function. Physical Therapists also use many practice methods, such as mechanical and manual traction, mobilization of the joints, including the spine, and neuromuscular facilitation. PT’s particularly use exercises in all forms to increase flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination. Patient education is a huge priority in every treatment. Educating the patient about his/her condition will promote the recovery process and hopefully prevent re-occurrence.
